If you want to make $500 at the age of 14, it will take you some time and effort. Making money usually takes hard work, time, and the willingess to save. I will assume you are in the US, but if you aren't, you need to do something equivalent wherever you are.
First, I would suggest getting an underage worker permit. See the first link for some discussion of how to do this. Once you turn 16, this will not be necessary, but for now, it is.
Then, you need to get a job. You essentially need to provide people some good or service so that people pay you for your effort. Libraries hire people to shelve books and pools hire people to be life guards.
One relatively good idea is to look at working at places owned by your family or close friends of the family. For example, if you parents owned a coffee shop, or your uncle owned a bookstore, you could talk to them an offer to clean counters or shelve books for some reasonable salary.
